Well, handling is a part of my life. I try to do my best in show rings and handling competitions. After 2,5 year of working I have pretty good achievements!
Dogs & shows is not a hobby - it's a lifestyle. I am very gratefull to my teacher Diana, very experienced handler and dog breeder, also my parents who supports me all the time and for sure dog owners for trust me their dogs!
My goal is to become a profesionnal and well known handler all over the world. Reach great results in handler competitions and show rings in Lithuania and abroad.
And now I need to work, work and again work. But, never forgot that dogs are not robots. They are our friends and family members!
My favorite breeds are miniature schnauzers, lhasa apsos and boxers - these breeds I want to breed in the future. Also, I like many different breeds: whippets, giant schnauzers, italian braccos, american cockers and etc.
Anyway, every person have the breed that they like the most.
In handling competitions I started to participate 2 years ago. I try to take different breeds for have more experience, but it is always nice to take my own dog, to trust him all 100%.
Anyway, at first it was hard to compete with profesional handlers, try do my best, but now I'm all in. On 2012 I was announced as handler 'discovery of the year' saying that I am still young handler, but catching up very quickly more experienced handlers. This year - 2013 I was announced as most progressive handler of the year. My biggest achievements, I think that are:
- BIS handler in WORLD schnauzer/pinscher speciality show.
- Selected on TOP 12(out of 60) at WDS'13
- BIS winner in NDS/INT/SPEC dog shows.
- Multi BIG handler
- Multi 2,3,4,5 place winner.
Every dog is different and need to by showed by different way - so I try to know the dog and make that he likes the show as I like. A good team is 50% of winning.
I think that there aren't a handler that know to show all breeds. It is simply impossible.
With passion and love, Vilte.
